My First Days at SelaQui

The day I first entered SelaQui, I was overwhelmed with a mix of anxiety and excitement. Having never been to a boarding school before, I saw it as a new challenge—one I was ready to face. The environment was completely unfamiliar. I knew no one, and it seemed like everyone else already knew what to do and where to go.

On the first day, I didn’t interact with anyone. While many students came up to me, asking my name and where I was from, I found myself keeping my distance. But within a few days, things started to change. I began adjusting slowly—talking to my classmates and dorm mates, opening up little by little. Initially, I missed my family and friends deeply, but I soon realized that I wasn’t alone. Every new student was going through the same emotions, and I knew those feelings would fade with time.

What took me by surprise was the strict routine here. Waking up at 5:45 AM, staying punctual, and being held accountable—even for small delays—was a big shift. Everything was planned to the minute. Yet, what stood out was how kind and polite everyone was. People genuinely asked how I was settling in, if I missed home, and whether I liked it here. It felt good to be seen and supported.

Being at SelaQui made me appreciate everything I had back home. There’s never a dull moment here—every day is packed with activities, and I came to understand how much time I used to spend on my device. Now, I’ve learned to value the little things: a good meal, some time outdoors, or even just using my phone.

In conclusion, I can honestly say that I’ve started to enjoy life here. What once felt unfamiliar now feels like a second home.
